mentorING

The program
“Participating in the job application simulation gave me the opportunity to get valuable feedback on my application materials and interview demeanor — directly from a company employee who is an expert at it.” — Anna Tröbs, class of 2020/21
“To connect with other female students, share experiences and work in group sessions together was the best part for me. There is so much support within the group, which motivates you to further follow your career goals.” - Carina Sengl, class of 2020/21

Events for mentors and mentees
Kick-off event
At the beginning of mentorING you will receive a basic introduction. At this event, you will receive information about the program and your role as a mentee or mentor and, of course, get to know your mentor or mentee. In addition, introductory workshops provide an opportunity to exchange ideas with other participants.
mentorING network event
The event serves the overarching networking of all participants (female students, mentors and company representatives). The framework of the “bonfire evening” is a panel discussion on a career topic relevant to all sides.
Managing Gender & Diversity Workshop
Gender training offers mentees as well as mentors the opportunity to reflect on their own behavior with women and men from other companies, to reflect on their own gender roles, to develop a deeper understanding for each other and to discover new ways of communicating.
Closing event
At the end of the year, we take stock together. How did the mentorING year help? Was it successful? During the final event, one could reflect how the experience and knowledge gained in the course of the mentorING, could be used in the future.

A special feature of mentorING is the intensive and practical job application training, in which job application situations are simulated with the support of representatives from Munich companies, thus preparing one in the best possible way catering to the current demands of the job market.
