“Participating in the job application simulation gave me the opportunity to get valuable feedback on my application materials and interview demeanor — directly from a company employee who is an expert at it.” — Anna Tröbs, class of 2020/21
“To connect with other female students, share experiences and work in group sessions together was the best part for me. There is so much support within the group, which motivates you to further follow your career goals.” - Carina Sengl, class of 2020/21
Events for mentors and mentees
At the beginning of mentorING you will receive a basic introduction. At this event, you will get information about the program and your role as a mentee or mentor and, of course, get to know your mentor or mentee in person. Mentors will be offered exciting insights into consulting topics that can support them in their role within the mentorING program. In addition, introductory workshops provide an opportunity to exchange ideas with other participants.
mentorING network events
These events serve the overarching networking of all participants (female students, mentors and company representatives). This involves, for example, a panel discussion on a career topic that is relevant to all sides.
Worksh“ops Managing Gender & Diversity” or “Female Leadership”
Different workshops offers mentees as well as mentors the opportunity to reflect on their own behavior with women and men from other companies, to reflect on their own gender roles, to develop a deeper understanding for each other and to discover new ways of communicating.
At the end of the year, we take stock together. How did the mentorING year help? Was it successful? During the final event, one could reflect how the experience and knowledge gained in the course of the mentorING, could be used in the future.
Events for mentees
myMentorING Seminar “Location and Goal Determination”
A sound life and career planning is a prerequisite for a successful professional career. The “myMentorING” event introduces you to the most important orientation factors for planning your future and supports you in defining them more in line with your own career.
A special feature of mentorING is the intensive and practical job application training, in which job application situations are simulated with the support of representatives from Munich companies, thus preparing one in the best possible way catering to the current demands of the job market.
Events of the partner companies
In addition to the meetings and workshops at the participating companies, the mentorING partner companies offer company and plant tours that give the female students an insight into the professional world and the respective company. They also introduce themselves as employers and explain entry-level opportunities.
Certificate of participation
If a mentee has participated in at least 5 events of the mentorING program, she will receive a certificate of participation at the end.
