Eli­gi­bi­li­ty Requi­re­ments

Fema­le stu­dents at the Tech­ni­cal Uni­ver­si­ty of Munich have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to par­ti­ci­pa­te in the men­to­rING pro­gram and bene­fit from gui­dance pro­vi­ded by expe­ri­en­ced men­tors from renow­ned com­pa­nies.

To be eli­gi­ble to app­ly, appli­cants must eit­her be in the advan­ced stage of their stu­dies or enrol­led in a master’s pro­gram, or they must have com­ple­ted at least their third semes­ter of a bachelor’s degree pro­gram.

Each year, appro­xi­m­ate­ly 30 to 40 fema­le stu­dents can be admit­ted to the pro­gram and matched with men­tors from the part­ner com­pa­nies. In recent years, around 200 fema­le stu­dents have appli­ed to the pro­gram each year. The size of each cohort depends on how many men­tors are made available for par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on by the part­ner com­pa­nies.

Appli­ca­ti­on

The appli­ca­ti­on pro­cess for the cur­rent men­to­rING cohort 2025/26 ended on Octo­ber 16, 2025.

Appli­ca­ti­ons are expec­ted to open again in August 2026. At that time, a link to the online appli­ca­ti­on form will be acti­va­ted on this web­site.

Sel­ec­tion Pro­cess

The sel­ec­tion of men­tees is car­ri­ed out by the men­tors from the part­ner com­pa­nies. For this pur­po­se, they recei­ve an anony­mi­zed over­view of the infor­ma­ti­on pro­vi­ded in the sub­mit­ted appli­ca­ti­on forms.

If the­re are over­laps in the sel­ec­tion pro­cess or if a clear match can­not be deter­mi­ned, TUMint, as the orga­ni­zer of the pro­gram, sup­ports the matching pro­cess and coor­di­na­tes the allo­ca­ti­on of stu­dents to the available men­tors.

Plea­se note that stu­dents from cer­tain degree pro­grams may be more dif­fi­cult to match, as the par­ti­ci­pa­ting part­ner com­pa­nies do not repre­sent all indus­tries and fields of stu­dy.

Cer­ti­fi­ca­te of par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on

To recei­ve a cer­ti­fi­ca­te of par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on, men­tees must attend at least 5 out of appro­xi­m­ate­ly 7 pro­gram events.
