Fabian Jodeit studied Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Medical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). During his studies, he initiated a medical device development project for rehabilitation services in Ethiopia, spending six months in Addis Ababa. While overseeing this project and lecturing on medical engineering in low-income countries at TUM, he gained industry experience in Canada—first as a mechanical engineer managing 40 steelworkers and later as a quality engineer for speech recognition software in automotive applications.

Driven by his deep commitment to improving healthcare in low-income countries, he returned to TUM in 2018, establishing multiple international research projects with partners in Ghana, Ethiopia, Madagascar, and Israel. Through short- and long-term stays abroad, he developed medical devices in prosthetics, sterilization, and gynecology, always in close collaboration with clinical stakeholders. Additionally, he founded an Integrated Training Center in Ghana, featuring a medical plastic waste recycling line and 3D printing facilities for healthcare applications.

Beyond research, Fabian has organized annual conferences in Ghana, Ethiopia, and Germany, bringing together industry leaders, academics, and policymakers. Leveraging his extensive international network, he now provides consulting services for healthcare companies targeting emerging markets and distributes select high-quality medical products from Germany to various African countries.
