TUM International joins BAYLAT as a network partner
TUM International is pleased to announce its new role as a network partner of BAYLAT, strengthening our commitment to international collaboration and the strategic importance of science diplomacy between Latin America and Europe - particularly with Bavaria as a key hub for research and innovation.
During a recent visit to TUM International, Irena de Melo, Managing Director of BAYLAT, met with our team to discuss shared priorities and opportunities for deeper cross-regional cooperation. The exchange confirmed a strong alignment on the role of science diplomacy as a driver of long-term partnerships — connecting universities, industry, and public stakeholders across borders.
These developments come at an important time, as the European Parliament continues to deliberate the EU–Mercosur agreement. We are confident that the agreement will soon receive approval, creating additional momentum for collaboration and innovation partnerships between the two regions.
TUM International is proud to contribute to this growing ecosystem through initiatives that connect research excellence, entrepreneurship, and applied innovation. A strong example is our collaboration with Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil, which demonstrates how impactful innovation ecosystems can be built beyond borders and beyond sectors.
By joining BAYLAT, TUM International looks forward to expanding joint activities, fostering new connections, and supporting partnerships that unlock the tremendous potential of Latin America through collaborative, international innovation.
