Technical Assistance to the CABEI Climate Change Investment Project Preparation Fund | SICA Region and Colombia

The Cen­tral Ame­ri­can Bank for Eco­no­mic Inte­gra­ti­on (CABEI) / Ban­co Cen­tro­ame­ri­ca­no de Inte­gra­ci­on Eco­no­mica, has estab­lished for the first time a new Fund for the Pre­pa­ra­ti­on of Cli­ma­te Chan­ge Invest­ment Pro­jects (FCC) for the Cen­tral Ame­ri­can Inte­gra­ti­on Sys­tem (SICA) regi­on and Colom­bia.

The fund focu­sed on sup­port­ing lar­ge-sca­le sus­tainable infra­struc­tu­re pro­jects in the fol­lo­wing are­as: future mobi­li­ty, digi­tal and smart cities, inno­va­ti­ve green ener­gy sys­tems, and ener­gy and was­te infra­struc­tu­re.

TUMint sup­port­ed CABEI and public sec­tor appli­cants in the fol­lo­wing ways.

  • Deve­lo­p­ment of the call for pro­po­sals, con­cept note tem­p­la­te, and gui­de­lines.
  • Pro­vi­de tech­ni­cal assis­tance to appli­cants throug­hout the regi­on to inte­gra­te sus­taina­bi­li­ty assess­ments into pro­ject plan­ning.
  • Eva­lua­te pro­po­sals and make recom­men­da­ti­ons for pro­cess impro­ve­ments.
