German Uzbek symposium on April 11th 2024
On April 11th 2024 we’re hosting the German-Uzbek Symposium,
“Bridging Borders: Exploring Collaborative Pathways between German and Uzbek Academia and Industry,”
at the Technical University of Munich, TUM Campus Garching.
This pivotal event showcases the growing ties between Germany and Uzbekistan, highlighting the innovative partnership with New Uzbekistan University (NewUU).
This symposium marks a significant occasion — the visit of a distinguished delegation from New Uzbekistan University (NewUU) to Munich. The young university has been supported and advised by TUMint since its inception, together with Prof. Wolfgang A. Hermann as NewUU’s Honorary President, making TUM the German anchor university of NewUU.
The event is designed to showcase NewUU, officially founded by decree by Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in June 2021, a prime example of Uzbekistan’s educational reforms and to foster partnerships between German and Uzbek academia and industry leaders. The aim is to promote NewUU within the Munich and Bavarian Science & Innovation Ecosystem and to establish fruitful connections with key representatives from TUM, other academic institutions, industry, and public sector.
Stay tuned for updates as we explore new horizons in academia and industry collaboration!
