Dr. Georgeta Auktor
(Senior Project Manager)
Dr. Georgeta Auktor (née Vidican) has been Senior Project Manager at TUM International since October 2021, focusing on technology transfer, clustering, and university site development and management. She is passionate about understanding the drivers of change, building communities of practice, and translating visions into actionable strategies for governments, industry, education and research institutions.
Dr. Georgeta Auktor studied international development (Ph.D.) and urban planning (M.A.) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), applied sociology (M.A.) at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and economics at the West University of Timisoara (B.A.). Since the beginning of her career, Dr. Auktor has worked at the intersection of research, policy, and academia to advance knowledge of complex societal transformation processes and advise policymakers on strategic actions to promote innovation, increase the effectiveness of industrial policy, and enable the transition to a green and inclusive economy. Dr. Auktor is also a research associate at the German Development Institute in Bonn and a certified environmental manager and auditor.
