Cara Knott

Cara Knott stu­di­ed Beha­vi­oral- and Neu­ro­bio­lo­gy (B.Sc.) at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Göt­tin­gen befo­re stu­dy­ing Human Move­ment Sci­ence (M.Sc., cum lau­de) at the Free Uni­ver­si­ty Ams­ter­dam. Her rese­arch focus was on the inter­ac­tion bet­ween brain and mus­cles when gene­ra­ting pre­cise hand move­ments, and how age affects this pro­cess.

After her stu­dies in 2022, Cara co-foun­ded the start­up Mad­glove. Mad­glove deve­lo­ps and pro­du­ces home-reha­bi­li­ta­ti­on gloves for indi­vi­du­als with neu­ro­lo­gi­cal con­di­ti­ons inclu­ding Stro­ke.

As co-foun­der of a Med­Tech com­pa­ny, Cara gai­ned valuable expe­ri­ence in a diver­se and dyna­mic working envi­ron­ment. This pre­pared her well for the start of her care­er at TUM Inter­na­tio­nal, whe­re, sin­ce Sep­tem­ber 2023, she initi­al­ly mana­ged the Sie­mens Rese­arch and Inno­va­ti­on Eco­sys­tem in Munich. Dra­wing on this expe­ri­ence, she now leads the Entre­pre­neur­ship & Indus­try Enga­ge­ment pil­lar as Seni­or Mana­ger.
