80 Saudi Arabian students & professors visiting TUM

TUMint hosted 80 Saudi students and professors for a scientific visit at TUM
On July 19, a group of 80 young students and professors from Saudi Arabia enjoyed a scientific visit on Sustainability and Innovation at TUM, organized and run by TUM International.

After starting the day with some welcoming words by Prof. Nilges and Prof. Bungartz we took the group on an exciting TUM Garching Campus tour including a stop at the IWB (Institute for machine tools and industrial management).

To dive even deeper into the topic of sustainability, Thomas Loster, former CEO of the Munich Re Foundation, gave some insights into the history, scientific research and the Sustainable Development Goals. After this great food for thought we conducted a workshop on three different focus topics:

⭐️ Sustainable energy
⭐️ Sustainable urban mobility and
⭐️ Sustainable water.

It’s always great to witness inspiring ideas being developed through co-creation and brilliant young students 🔮

We are looking forward to the next group of Saudi students that will visit us!
