The AZCON School of Engi\u00adnee\u00adring and Tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgy<\/a> (AZSET) repres\u00adents a pio\u00adnee\u00adring model for hig\u00adher edu\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon in Azer\u00adbai\u00adjan, com\u00adbi\u00adning indus\u00adtry lea\u00adder\u00adship, aca\u00adde\u00admic excel\u00adlence, and inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal part\u00adner\u00adship within a sin\u00adgle insti\u00adtu\u00adti\u00adon.<\/p>

AZSET was crea\u00adted through the col\u00adla\u00adbo\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon of AZCON Hol\u00adding and Azer\u00adbai\u00adjan Tech\u00adni\u00adcal Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty (AzTU), with the aca\u00adde\u00admic sup\u00adport of TUM Inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal GmbH (TUMint).<\/p>

A new model for tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgy edu\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon<\/strong><\/p>

AZSET starts with two Bache\u00adlor of Sci\u00adence pro\u00adgrams (Com\u00adpu\u00adter Sci\u00adence in Sep\u00adtem\u00adber 2026 and later Com\u00adpu\u00adter Engi\u00adnee\u00adring), both taught enti\u00adre\u00adly in Eng\u00adlish and model\u00adled on the qua\u00adli\u00adty stan\u00addards of Tech\u00adni\u00adcal Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Munich (TUM). This means that the pro\u00adgrams are desi\u00adgned to pro\u00advi\u00adde stu\u00addents with a strong aca\u00adde\u00admic foun\u00adda\u00adti\u00adon while con\u00adnec\u00adting their stu\u00addies with real-world tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgi\u00adcal chal\u00adlenges.<\/p>

A defi\u00adning fea\u00adture of AZSET is the clo\u00adse coope\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon bet\u00adween aca\u00adde\u00admia and indus\u00adtry and the focus on pro\u00admo\u00adting an entre\u00adpre\u00adneu\u00adri\u00adal mind\u00adset. AzTU pro\u00advi\u00addes the local aca\u00adde\u00admic struc\u00adtu\u00adre, while AZCON Hol\u00adding con\u00adnects the pro\u00adgrams with an indus\u00adtri\u00adal eco\u00adsys\u00adtem that can offer prac\u00adti\u00adcal expo\u00adsure and future care\u00ader oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties.<\/p>

TUMint con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adtes the inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal aca\u00adde\u00admic dimen\u00adsi\u00adon of the part\u00adner\u00adship, sup\u00adport\u00ading cur\u00adri\u00adcu\u00adlum deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment, facul\u00adty capa\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adties, assess\u00adment stan\u00addards and qua\u00adli\u00adty struc\u00adtures. The aim is not sim\u00adply to trans\u00adfer an exis\u00adting stu\u00addy pro\u00adgram, but to build a sus\u00adtainable aca\u00adde\u00admic model that can be deve\u00adlo\u00adped and deli\u00adver\u00aded local\u00adly in Azer\u00adbai\u00adjan to prepa\u00adre the talent that is nee\u00added for the country\u2019s tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgi\u00adcal and eco\u00adno\u00admic deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment ambi\u00adti\u00adons. Aca\u00adde\u00admic experts from TUM\u2019s rich sci\u00aden\u00adti\u00adfic eco\u00adsys\u00adtem accom\u00adpa\u00adny the new\u00adly crea\u00adted school and its facul\u00adty in estab\u00adli\u00adshing the capa\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adties and deli\u00adve\u00adring the edu\u00adca\u00adtio\u00adnal pro\u00adgrams in accordance with TUM qua\u00adli\u00adty stan\u00addards.<\/p>

From con\u00adcept to class\u00adroom<\/strong><\/p>

Sin\u00adce the launch of AZSET, the part\u00adners work\u00aded inten\u00adsi\u00adve\u00adly to turn the visi\u00adon into a func\u00adtio\u00adning aca\u00adde\u00admic insti\u00adtu\u00adti\u00adon. TUMint, TUM Fel\u00adlows and AZSET facul\u00adty col\u00adla\u00adbo\u00adra\u00adted on the aca\u00adde\u00admic pro\u00adgrams, stu\u00addent admis\u00adsi\u00adon, and staf\u00adfing, while capa\u00adci\u00adty-buil\u00adding acti\u00advi\u00adties in Munich and Baku hel\u00adped trans\u00adla\u00adte aca\u00adde\u00admic stan\u00addards into ever\u00ady\u00adday tea\u00adching prac\u00adti\u00adce.<\/p>

In Sep\u00adtem\u00adber 2026, this pre\u00adpa\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon rea\u00adched its most important mile\u00adstone so far: AZSET wel\u00adco\u00admed its first cohort of stu\u00addents who pas\u00adsed the ent\u00adry exam and inter\u00adviews and began tea\u00adching its Bache\u00adlor of Sci\u00adence in Com\u00adpu\u00adter Sci\u00adence. The start of the semes\u00adter mark\u00aded the tran\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adon from plan\u00adning and deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment to imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adon \u2014 from an ambi\u00adtious idea to stu\u00addents lear\u00adning in the class\u00adroom.<\/p>

Buil\u00adding for the long term<\/strong><\/p>

The launch of the first cohort is only the begin\u00adning. With tea\u00adching now under\u00adway, TUMint con\u00adti\u00adnues to work with AZSET, AzTU, AZCON Hol\u00adding and TUM Fel\u00adlows to sup\u00adport the pro\u00adgram, streng\u00adthen qua\u00adli\u00adty assu\u00adrance and fur\u00adther deve\u00adlop the aca\u00adde\u00admic model.<\/p>
