Europe Embodied 2026: 48-Hour Hackathon\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

For 48 hours, Euro\u00adpe\u2019s brigh\u00adtest robo\u00adtics talent came tog\u00ade\u00adther to build \u2014 and to push the boun\u00adda\u00adries of what phy\u00adsi\u00adcal AI can do.<\/p>

We\u2019\u00adre proud to have part\u00adne\u00adred with Robo\u00adTUM<\/strong><\/a>, START Munich<\/strong><\/a>, and ESRA<\/strong> <\/a>\u2014 three stu\u00addent asso\u00adcia\u00adti\u00adons \u2014 to bring this to life as part of our HMI2Market<\/strong><\/a> initia\u00adti\u00adve, which seeks to acti\u00adva\u00adte and ele\u00adva\u00adte the entre\u00adpre\u00adneu\u00adri\u00adal poten\u00adti\u00adal of Euro\u00adpean hig\u00adher edu\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon insti\u00adtu\u00adti\u00adons (HEIs) in the field of Human-Machi\u00adne Inter\u00adac\u00adtion (HMI).<\/p>

The sca\u00adle of inte\u00adrest said it all: 350+ appli\u00adcants<\/strong> vied for a spot, 108 were sel\u00adec\u00adted<\/strong>, and in the end, 77+ buil\u00adders<\/strong> wal\u00adked through TUMor\u00adrow Hub and Lab Cam\u00adpus to spend two days tur\u00adning bold ide\u00adas into working sys\u00adtems.<\/p>

Buil\u00adders from dif\u00adfe\u00adrent count\u00adries fil\u00adled the space, test\u00ading and ite\u00adra\u00adting around the clock. Sin\u00adce each track posed a fun\u00adda\u00admen\u00adtal\u00adly dif\u00adfe\u00adrent chall\u00adenge, teams first batt\u00adled it out within their own track befo\u00adre the three track win\u00adners met for one final show\u00addown to crown an abso\u00adlu\u00adte cham\u00adpi\u00adon. Pri\u00adzes included Anthro\u00adpic cre\u00addits and cash.<\/p>

Three Tracks, One Mis\u00adsi\u00adon<\/strong><\/p>

Lead-spon\u00adso\u00adred by Igni\u00adte Next<\/strong>, the hacka\u00adthon unfold\u00aded across three distinct chall\u00adenge tracks, each shaped by an indus\u00adtry or rese\u00adarch part\u00adner \u2014 giving teams the free\u00addom to spe\u00adcia\u00adli\u00adze while pushing toward a com\u00admon goal: robots that can sen\u00adse, move, and act more intel\u00adli\u00adgent\u00adly in the real world.<\/p>

 <\/p>

Track 1: Intel\u2019s Chall\u00adenge \u2014 Indus\u00adtri\u00adal Robo\u00adtic Arms<\/strong><\/p>

Sup\u00adport\u00aded by hard\u00adware from TUM MIRMI<\/strong>, this track chal\u00adlen\u00adged teams to expand what Visi\u00adon-Lan\u00adguage Model (VLM)-based robots can per\u00adcei\u00adve. Team RoBoost<\/strong> rose to the occa\u00adsi\u00adon, engi\u00adnee\u00adring a sys\u00adtem that lets VLM-dri\u00adven robots take an objec\u00adt\u2019s phy\u00adsi\u00adcal pro\u00adper\u00adties \u2014 like weight \u2014 as an input, giving them a way to sen\u00adse the world bey\u00adond sight alo\u00adne. Their breakth\u00adrough ear\u00adned them first place over\u00adall<\/strong>.<\/p>

Track 2: Wen\u00addy\u2019s Chall\u00adenge \u2014 Auto\u00adno\u00admous Indus\u00adtri\u00adal Inspec\u00adtion (Qua\u00addru\u00adped)<\/strong><\/p>

With hard\u00adware sup\u00adport from TNG Tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgy Con\u00adsul\u00adting<\/strong>, Mybot\u00adshop<\/strong>, and ETHRC<\/strong>, this track asked teams to build auto\u00adno\u00admous inspec\u00adtion sys\u00adtems fit for indus\u00adtri\u00adal envi\u00adron\u00adments. Team Arvit<\/strong> took the win with an agen\u00adtic inspec\u00adtion sys\u00adtem, secu\u00adring third place over\u00adall<\/strong>.<\/p>

 <\/p>

Track 3: MIR\u00adMI\u2019s Chall\u00adenge \u2014 Dro\u00adne Racing<\/strong><\/p>

Backed by ITQ<\/strong>, with hard\u00adware sup\u00adport from TUM\u2019s Chair of Safe\u00adty, Relia\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adty and Per\u00adfor\u00admance of Lear\u00adning Sys\u00adtems, this track tas\u00adked teams with app\u00adly\u00ading rein\u00adforce\u00adment lear\u00adning to real-world flight. Team Honey Bad\u00adgers<\/strong> clai\u00admed the track by trai\u00adning a dro\u00adne to clear a full gate cour\u00adse in just 8 seconds<\/strong> \u2014 three seconds fas\u00adter than the run\u00adner-up \u2014 landing them second place over\u00adall<\/strong>.<\/p>

A Shared Mis\u00adsi\u00adon Across Euro\u00adpe<\/strong><\/p>
