The Elec­tro­nics Deept­ech Acce­le­ra­tor Pro­gram (Tech­NXT), an acce­le­ra­ti­on initia­ti­ve roo­ted in glo­bal best prac­ti­ces; Co-desi­gned and imple­men­ted through a stra­te­gic col­la­bo­ra­ti­on bet­ween GIZ, the IT Indus­try Deve­lo­p­ment Agen­cy (ITIDA), and TUM Inter­na­tio­nal GmbH (TUMint).

The pro­gram is desi­gned to sup­port high-poten­ti­al deep-tech start­ups based in Egypt, that have deve­lo­ped an MVP and are rea­dy to sca­le — sup­port­ing reve­nue growth and invest­ment rea­di­ness — empowe­ring the next gene­ra­ti­on of foun­ders ope­ra­ting in the fol­lo­wing focus are­as: elec­tro­nics hard­ware and embedded sys­tems sen­sor sys­tems & semi­con­duc­tor tech­no­lo­gies, AI and edge com­pu­ting hard­ware; inter­net of things (IoT/IIoT); smart sys­tems and intel­li­gent devices; robo­tics / auto­ma­ti­on and indus­try 4.0; ener­gy-effi­ci­ent elec­tro­nics & power sys­tems.

Tech­NXT offers a uni­que oppor­tu­ni­ty for Egypt’s sel­ec­ted start­ups to acce­le­ra­te their ven­tures through dedi­ca­ted sup­port from experts of Europe’s lea­ding inno­va­ti­on eco­sys­tem in Munich. TUMint, a ful­ly inte­gra­ted sub­si­dia­ry of the Tech­ni­cal Uni­ver­si­ty of Munich (TUM), is spe­cia­li­zed in desig­ning and mana­ging inno­va­ti­on eco­sys­tems and tech­no­lo­gy trans­fer hubs. Through TUMint’s invol­vement the sel­ec­ted start­ups will recei­ve over 9‑months:
